Both of our locations feature a variety of classes for students at every level!
8-Week Pottery Series
Beginner / Intermediate
Rolling 2-Month Semesters
This 8-week pottery series is a perfect class for those interested in learning the basics of pottery or hoping to get back into a studio practice. The curriculum will take students through making pieces on the pottery wheel and hand building techniques as well as glazing, decorating and finishing your pieces.
Students will come away with a well-rounded understanding of the making process as well as several pieces of handmade pottery!

$420 for 8 classes including clay, glaze, tools, and firing
1 make-up class built into the schedule
Each class is 2-hours with an additional 30 minutes to clean up
As this is a curriculum-based class the listed price is non-refundable after purchasing the course.

One-Time Pottery Workshop
Beginner
Every Week
Get lost in clay! This one-time pottery class is great for first-time potters — or those looking for a fun refresher. This is a fun and relaxing chance to unplug, get your hands muddy, and get creative. Perfect for a date night or family outing.
Participants will come away with 1-2 pieces in the color of their choosing that will be ready for pick up in 4-5 weeks.
Wheel/Slab Workshop
In our wheel & slab workshops, students get the opportunity to learn 2 different pottery techniques! Participants will hand build one piece of their choosing and will throw one piece on the wheel alongside the guidance of an instructor.
Wheel Workshop
In our wheel workshops, students will first go through the steps of making a piece on the wheel with the guidance of an instructor before making a second piece on their own!
Mug Making Workshop
In our mug workshop, you'll learn all about designing and shaping your own ceramic mug. You'll learn how to throw a piece on the wheel and design and attach handles to your pieces.
Details:

Weekly Mixed-Level Classes

Weekly, Minimum of 4 Classes
Join a community of potters and ignite your creativity in this weekly, open-format class that is great for everyone from those experiencing pottery for the first time to advanced students looking to spend time in a studio or advance their work.
Students are encouraged to have fun and take risks as they work on all aspects of the pottery process from throwing and hand-building pieces, to trimming and glazing. The teacher will do regular demonstrations and is available throughout the sessions to assist and inspire as needed. Become part of this creative and social community!

The packages are sold in sets of 4, but we require a commitment of 8 weekly sessions to get started.
Waitlists are typically reserved for current students so look ahead to find openings (~2 months in advance).

Book a fun afternoon or night out with your family, friends, or colleagues
Private classes can accommodate 6-36 people for a fun pottery experience. Whether you're looking for a team building activity, birthday party, holiday celebration, or other festive outing, classes will be tailored to the occasion and can include wheel throwing and/or hand-building projects.
Participants will create up to 2 creations in the colors of their choosing.

We will work with you to find the best time for your group. Classes can fill up 2-6 weeks in advance. Please reach out to schedule!

Cancellation & Refund Policy
One Time Workshop:

Cancellations made more than 48hrs prior to class are eligible for a refund.

Cancellations made 48-24hrs before class may receive studio credit to reschedule your class.

Any cancellations made within 24 hours will not be eligible for a refund, however you may transfer your seat to someone else. No-shows will be charged the full class fee.

If cancelling/rescheduling for multiple people you will need to go into each persons profile to make a change.

For parties of 3 or more, we must have at least 72hrs notice.

Recurring Classes (4 Pack Classes):

Students are allowed to cancel/reschedule at least 24hrs prior to class time, with a limit of one cancellation per 4-pack.

Keep in mind, it is not ideal for too many weeks between classes as pieces dry out and studio space is limited.

If you can't find an open seat in an upcoming class, put your name on the waitlist and reach out to info@clayloungeboston.com before you cancel the class.
8 Week Workshops:

Students are allowed one make-up class. Do not reschedule online. Please reach out to info@clayloungeboston.com to reschedule your makeup.

As this is a curriculum based course, payment is nonrefundable.
